concourse Software Platform
The applications in the interactive suite were developed using the concourse Software Platform (CSP), an n-tier development environment that includes tools for user interface (UI) design, customizable software for application logic and services, device control, and system monitoring.
CSP can be configured by Source Technologies' developers, or our clients can rapidly prototype, test, and deploy their own applications. CSP's flexible architecture also provides for easy integration with other retail systems including supply chain management, inventory control, item and/or store controllers and in-store digital signage.
In addition, the CSP device manager module eliminates custom coding by providing off-the-shelf device interfacing and control as part of a complete solution. The Device Manager includes four components:
- The kiosk device SPI (Service Provider Interface), which provides hardware-level device control
- XFS manager, which provides an industry-standard device-management layer
- Device abstraction layer, which makes application control of kiosk devices straightforward and easy to program
- System monitoring and reporting, which ensures the kiosk and devices are functioning properly
